Summary:
The Office Receptionist/Intake Coordinator will be accountable for all aspects of the DME store. The ideal applicant will be running the show so the ability to 'run with it' will be ideal! They will be responsible for receipt, qualification, and processing of referrals received from referral sources and walk-in clients. The position encompasses all aspects of the DME process from selection of product, pre-qualifications to dispensing and follow-up. The Office Receptionist/Intake Coordinator will make sure everyone entrusting us with their care is handled in the most compassionate way while making sure we are in compliance and getting reimbursed correctly.
Job responsibilities:
1. Face-to-face communication with customers to assist with order placement of medical equipment and supplies.
2. Answer questions about billing, collections and service
3. Work closely with health plans, physicians, case managers, etc
4. Monitors adjustments and denials and works with Management for corrections
5. Attend educational workshops as needed or assigned
6. Regular attendance is essential.
7. Knowledge of all regulatory reimbursement and insurance related requirements.
Qualifications:
1. Experience in medical office/healthcare organizations (MUST HAVE)
2. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
3. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
4. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
5. Multi-lingual in English/Somali
6. Minimum High School diploma
May require travel (very rare).
